   About SEBC

A.    INTRODUCTION

SEBC (Syrian Enterprise and Business Centre) is a world class organization that is designed to support the Syrian economy by serving as an implementation agency for projects aimed at developing the private sector in general, and SME support & development in particular. In other words, SEBC is the catalyst institution for private sector development and growth in Syria.

 

 

Vision

Syrian Enterprise & Business Center's vision is:

"To be the driving force, and an innovative leader, for the Syrian business community in its bid to compete successfully in the global marketplace.

We believe that our independence and professionalism will help us to become the first port of call for Syrian private sector businesses wishing to grow, to operate with international standards, and to develop export markets.  

We can influence and accelerate the transition of the Syrian business environment to one that is more supportive of private sector business, and to one that becomes enabling rather than controlling.  

If we do this, we will allow Syrians to build a more prosperous and equitable society through the freedom to capitalise on their natural entrepreneurial ability".

B.    LEGAL STATUS

SEBC is a private foundation created under the Syrian Associations and Private Institutions Law and presidential decree 1330.

C.    MANDATE

- Increase the Syrian private sector competitiveness in the local and international markets

- Assist Syrian private sector enterprises to access international markets

- Enhancing the business community through increasing the number of enterprises with high growth potential and evolving capability in addition to providing them with required support

- Promoting positive development of the Syrian organizational and financial frame work to uphold development of private sector enterprises

- Facilitate the establishment of an efficient network of business support institutions.
