Introduction

You are in possession of the Ghar Soap Catalogue. It is the second volume in a series entitled ‘Cataloguing Syria’ that is being introduced to the international business community by the Syrian-European Business Centre (SEBC).

The aim of this initiative is to publish catalogues covering unique Syrian industrial products, with the long-term objective of promoting and generating Syrian exports.

The catalogue starts with a section on the history and production of Ghar (or Bay) Soap, continuing with an extensive section containing information about the Syrian firms specialising in this industry.

Each company has provided details about their location and production facilities and, most importantly, their proposals for possible co-operation with businesses from Europe and elsewhere to market and sell Ghar Soap.

The Syrian companies are confident that their merchandise will excite your interest - offering an opportunity to introduce a product of genuine uniqueness to world markets.
